Give a Gift to Yourself

Give a Gift to Yourself

Be Good to Yourself

Being hurt doesn’t mean that you will punish yourself. Doing a mistake doesn’t mean that you’ll end up getting it more messy. Being failed once doesn’t mean that you’ll never succeed. This all above mentioned statement shows that you’re moving a step ahead in transforming yourself better. So, you’ve to be good with yourself. You’ve to be at peace. You need to be kind, soft-spoken, and forgiving at the same time. You need to have patience to see things becoming better. If you want to see the beauty of the rainbow, first try to enjoy the rain. Feel like the clouds are showering their blessings upon you.

The Key to Happiness

It was my 14th birthday. I remember the time of childhood days. When we used to receive and give gifts on special occasions like birthday, Diwali, etc. gifts always make us happy. We always plan the best gift to give to our beloved one. But have you ever thought? For what? Just To surprise them? Or to see them smiling? Or you don’t want to miss how their eyes spark while opening the gift.

But now it’s been enough. Now it’s time to make yourself happy. Now is the time to think about your happiness. This is the right moment to give yourself “a gift”. Ask yourself if you have time to choose a gift for yourself. What would you choose? Would you choose accessories, any equipment, books, clothing or gifting yourself a spa package, etc. there are unlimited options available?

The best gift you can give to yourself is “the key tohappiness”. Yes! Happiness is what you want. No matter how your day was and what all struggles you've had in your life. You just want to be happy at any cost. You want to feel the satisfaction of being happy before going to bed in a grim mood.

You need to find your own key to happiness. You need to identify what makes you happy? What keeps you in a cheerful mood? Is it a cup of coffee or just pampering yourself and taking a break from work? Sit in silence for sometimes a day and you’ll figure out what your heart says. Let’s do it now.

The Qualification of a Mother

Before a woman becomes a mother, a lot of questions are already running through her mind. The queries like how will she handle all those kids' trauma, her figure will not be the same again and losing freedom, etc. She worries about whether she’ll be able to deliver a healthy baby or not, whether she’ll be able to nurture him well or not, etc. These common questions arise in a woman’s mind before planning the baby. But, once they delivered the baby after putting all the efforts put in those pleasant months altogether from healthy meals, being health conscious and monitoring fetus growth, etc. The bundle of joy makes everything worth it.

When a baby is born, they know only the mother by their voice, touch, and smell. A kid doesn’t know whether her mother is officially qualified. They only know she’s my mother and they accept her the moment unconditionally. They look forward to her.

Once a child is born, everything changes. A mother is more concerned for her kids than anything else in the world. Her heart, mind, and soul are involved only in concerning the child.

Now let me ask you a question, Does a mother need a professional degree to qualify herself as a mother? Isn’t she blessed with her instincts to know what's happening with her kids? Why are they behaving like that?

There is not any precious gift in the world other than the unconditional love of a mother.

A mother plays many roles in her kid’s life depending on the situation. A mother is both sugar and spice at the same time. She knows the best for her kids. A few are like sometimes she’s a teacher, friend, role model, financial controller, CEO of the house, the best chef, a doctor, a healer, a decision-maker, a counselor, a reader, and the emotional backbone, etc. You all agree that yes! The list could go endlessly.

“I feel sorry for those who don't appreciate the efforts put in by their mother, whereas a few are struggling to find their mother’s, genuine love.

I feel sorry for those who keep on insulting their mothers in front of their friends when she’s not able to speak English or communicate well,  but they forget she educated then. So, they could learn to communicate well.

I feel sorry for those who take their mother for granted, but they don’t know God is watching over them.”

Today's kids don't have time to spend with their parents, but they have time to spend with their friends and on other events. They must understand that their parents are also growing old with us. They’ll not be here with us all the life. We all are here for a limited period. So, why waste it on something else which is not important to us? Indeed, we should spend it with our parents whose life is nothing without us. We still have time to say sorry and thank you to our parents. Just remember their hard work and try to appreciate it every time you notice it before the time passes.

The primary motive of this blog is to convey a message that no mother needs a specific qualification to be with her kids. She’s just perfect the way she is. She just needs to be a little understandable and respected. You’ll see how much her heart is an ocean of love. “Make yourself ready to dive in love with your mother every day”.

As you know, Mother’s day 2021 is around the corner. You have time to plan out the best moment to spend with your mother. So, don’t forget to share in the comment box, what’re you planning?

What’s Your Parenting Style?

What’s your parenting style?

Gone are the days when parents used to ignore their kids. They left kids with other relatives and kids of the family that they didn’t feel like kids needed attention to. It was a time when mothers used to take care of household chores and fathers used to go back to work and come back late at night. For a few, kids were not on their priority list, but now today’s parents are much smarter than earlier ones. Their full focus is on their kids. They want them to achieve and learn what they couldn’t themselves.

Nowadays, both father and mother equally take up the responsibility of their kids and support each other while raising a smart kid. They truly understand the importance of building up discipline in their kids' routine and monitoring their behavioral changes.

Let’s talk about different parenting styles and how it matters while raising a kid.

·       Authoritative Parenting

This parenting style means as a parent, you’re putting a lot of effort into bringing up your child. You have open communication with them. You try to make a lot of rules, but you don’t force your kids to follow them. Indeed, you put them first and listen to them carefully. Authoritative parents try to use kind words, positive vibes, positive behavior, and reward systems to encourage their kids. Children raised with this style, become the best decision-maker and a successful person.

·       Authoritarian or Disciplinarian Parenting

Here, the parents take all the responsibilities of the kids and set high expectations for them. Neither they listen to their kids nor they consider their child’s feelings. These parents make their rules and ask their kids to obey all the rules by not daring to break them. The parents become agree. with this, children are mostly ignored and they become a liar in their later stages.

·       Permissive Parenting

Under this parenting style, these parents allow their kids to be free. They don’t set high expectations for the kids and from their parenting style. They pretend to be like friends with their kids and encourage them to talk about their problems with them. Their primary motive is to appreciate the child but they forget that kids look for answers from their parents. Hence, they don’t tell them when a kid makes a terrible choice. Children raised under this parenting style mostly have low self-esteem and might have a feeling of sadness.

·       Uninvolved Parenting

At other times, with this style, parents mostly lack knowledge about their child. For example, Their kids are living in hostels and the parents are least bothered about their work assignments, etc. And they don’t involve them in family rituals and work like paying bills and managing household chores, etc. Parents don’t bother about nurturing their kids well. Kids raised under this often lead to low self-esteem and issues in behavior. For example, an uninvolved parent will give the money to his child whenever he/she will ask for it but they’ll bother where he/she is going to spend it.

As above mentioned parenting styles come with both positive and negative comments. It keeps on changing with time. One must know what style to use and when with their kids. It becomes the duty of the parents to be with their kids in their both happy and struggling phase. Ultimately, parents should be the first approach when a kid seeks answers to the questions.

 Q. Do you want to know the secret behind becoming the best salesperson?

Q. Do you wish to become the best salesperson?

Q. is selling your passion?

Why Did I Choose This Book?

The book title caught my attention. The catchy book cover makes me feel curious about what's all in the book.

About The Author: Sanjeev K Somanath

The author is a storyteller, meta sales coach, and motorcyclist. He has more experience in Sales and Client Management. He leads his sales and happiness coaching practice - The Sales Yogi, which combines the values in the Bhagwad Gita into practical snippets for Sales professionals. His programs are holistic, combining both skills and emotions.

About The Book:

How many of you have heard that “Bhagwad Gita has all the answers related to our life”. If you have heard this phrase before, then this is the time you can find this verse becoming true when you want to improve your salesperson skills. Taking inspiration from the concept of Karma Yog, Bhakti Yog, Dhyan Yog, and Satvik Thinking, the book helps you in becoming the best version of yourself. The perception that this book gives is unique as it includes all the divine knowledge from our very much known Bhagavad Gita, which not only amazes you but also gives you a completely new mindset and a positive attitude.

This book works not only in improving sales skills but also in mastering emotions. So, that we can take corrective measures on every given condition and keep on improvising ourselves.

The author has written this book with a unique concept of connecting  7 chakras and the verses from Bhagavad Gita. For example, The Ajna of sales- Intuition and openness. It means how these chakras help a person become more self-intuitive. A salesperson can use this technique and should do some practice to connect with his/her inner voice. Then, he truly gets all the answers to his questions of what, why and whom, etc.

The Sales yogi is the one who sells his/her products, and who performs his/her duty with full focus etc. Do you remember When Arjuna wasn’t able to utilize his best skills in the Kurukshetra But Lord Krishna guided him to the reality of life and how he could master his emotions in front of his relatives in the battlefield.

I agree with the author’s statement that we’ll are salespersons. We all should try cultivating a few traits like good listening skills, self-awareness, getting engaged, open communication, and being client-centric, etc. The book has all the solutions to becoming the best salesperson.
