BOOK REVIEW:

The book is a work of historical fiction. It is the second book in the series as much as I could relate to the storylines. Not being read the first one truly makes a void that the author has tried to fill by writing a short version of the first book in this one.

A treasure hunt for the twelve missing pages containing the devil’s prayer starts for the elimination of the population. Characters in the story are Jess, Luca, Siobhan, and the red monks. The story starts pretty slow, but when it picks up; the speed made it interesting for me. A lot of twist and turns awaits in the path for Siobhan and Lucas.

Siobhan and Jess, both sisters of the devil's offspring, try to get their hands on the missing treasure, but one is the guiding light fighting for humanity and one is giving her all for the destruction of humanity. The picture in between makes the reading refreshing and interesting.

Lucas, a police officer, finds his friend in a bizarre situation where his legs and hands are seized. something is written on his body with a language long forgotten. He tries to find answers to all these while crossing the path with Siobhan. What will happen now? Is love about to bloom in both of their destiny? Will they ever find the missing pages? Who will find it first less or Siobhan?

Too many questions with a lot of twists and turns to keep the readers engaged. Language is lucid and simple. Every detailed explanation of the historical relics blew my mind away.

A few of the quotes I liked are " social media has taught us that people will believe what they want to believe "

Meaning, social media is easy to access to viral anything in our brain, as always it has both positive and negative sides of society but mostly it's used for the negative sides, and blindly following social media most of the time leads to miscommunication and crimes.

Social media is like a virus nowadays. People find facts to justify their narrative, which might not even be true. The author has talked about a lot of things in the author's note, which most of the readers skip, but we should read this one. Topics like - carbon dioxide, fossils, social media, hope, Noah's ark, mother earth, population, and deforestation should talk about openly and positively, and we should take steps in the direction to make it better. Survival of the fetus is the best example which suits the story too. Forests are the lungs of the earth - deforestation because of urbanization is the worst as they are home to a lot of endangered species- species that are likely to become extinct soon either worldwide or in a particular political jurisdiction, Because of overpopulation other species in our planet is going in danger which should be an alert sign to all of us.

"Protect the planet you are born on "- I agree with this completely as mother earth gives us so many things to count - water shelter, food, fuel, etc. It's our job to protect these for our and our future generations. Because of deforestation, the level of oxygen is going low, co2 rises to make a hole in the ozone layer.

There are many endangered species like - the giant panda, Amur leopard, tiger, Geer lions, Javan rhinoceros, koala, etc. fossils - footprints/ imprints found of the animals before us in the ground's depth.

As the title suggests - there is no shadow without light, which I find quite fitting to the story as Siobhan is the light and her sister Jess is the darkness.

Kindly let me know what are you currently reading now?

Isn't this exciting to see this young little girl where she expresses her beautiful and fabulous ideas and her imagination in her: Kavya’s bag of stories.

About the Author

This young author, Kavya has not only inspired us with her little stories but has also taken us into the world of fantasy through her fictitious stories. Kavya stays in Gurgaon. She loves writing. She loves watching movies like Frozen and the Harry Potter Series.

She’s blessed to have such a supportive father who has helped her in this journey. Her father has put his best efforts to showcase her skills on the right platform.

About the book

The young author has described 7 stories beautifully.

The magic tree
The Moon Man
The Rainbow Unicorn
The Innocent Dragon
The Poor Fisherman
The Talking Specs
The Magical Mirror

And, believe me. Every story has its magic. The language is lucid though abstract and every story ends with a meaningful message at the end of each chapter.

My favorite story from the book is “The Magic Tree” and “The Talking Specs”. While reading these stories, they took me to a world of imagination where everything became so lively. When I finished reading it, it left me amazed, how this little kid has expressed her abstract and fictitious thoughts in beautifully described short stories.

The book is highly recommended for those who love reading short tales.

Especially for the kids aged between 5-10 years. Kids can read one story just before their sleeping time and get lost in their dreamy world.

There is something to learn from everyone if we see the positive side of it.

Being a mother of a 2 years toddler, I would request all the parents whosoever is reading this book review. Kindly support your children in exploring their hidden potential.

I wish Kavya all the best for her future endeavors.

You’ve got a long way to go girl!

looking forward to reading more stories written by you in the future.

First, I would like to thank the author for allowing me to read and review her book. I don’t remember once when I read any fiction books last time. But I was looking forward to reading one. So, here I’m with my first fiction book review.

Why did I choose this book?

To read a book in the romantic fiction genre.
The book cover caught my attention with the word “Drizzle” which convinced me to pick up the book.

About the author: Radhika Srinath

The author is a stay-at-home mom and a full-time writer. She is born and brought up in Chennai, her stories will reflect mostly on relationships, love, and south Indian culture. The author’s writing journey is very inspiring. The author participated in NaNoWriMo writing challenge and finished writing her first fiction novel in 2018.

About the book:

Nanditha’s parents are trying to find a perfect match for their daughter but she never agrees. She wanted to understand the person well before getting married. But she hadn’t found one for whom her heart skips a beat.  Meanwhile, she and her friend Jenny plan for a vacation to Darjeeling. Believe me! If you’ve not been to Darjeeling then you’d want to visit there after reading this book. Darjeeling is a beautiful hill station surrounded by tall trees, mountains, and rainy weather. I have been there so I could relate to what the author has expressed about it in the book.

It evokes the desire to visit there again. I loved the title of the book “Drizzle on the mountain” which perfectly matches the story.

This is the story of two people, Ajay and Nanditha. How did they fall crazily in love with each other? Although they wanted to express their love to each other, destiny never gives them a chance!

But according to destiny,  they’re made for each other. It’s a stimulating romance story about how they both came close and began doing things to keep each other happy. How did Nanditha's holidays become a knowledgeable project?

How did she help Ajay in designing a start hotel’s party hall for his overseas guests?

How drizzle on the mountain has brought Ajay and Nanditha together?

How did Ajay and Nanditha fall for one another unexpectedly?

How did they express their love for every other?

I’m sure you’ll fall crazy with the characters -  ‘Ajay’ and ‘Nanditha’. It’s a must-read book for those who have just fallen crazily in love or about to. How these two found perfection in each other’s imperfections? What made them like each other?  But All romance-lovers should choose this book.

What emotion was I going through while reading this book?

Well, I’m still lost within the great things about Darjeeling and really crazy with the character Ajay.

I couldn’t believe it myself but yes! The story hooked me for 7 hours continuously. Undoubtedly, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it while grabbing a cup of coffee.

So, what’re you waiting for?

Order now to treat yourself by getting lost in the beauty of Darjeeling. Be curious to understand what would have happened between Ajay and Nanditha!
